What is a good way to remove mascara and eyeliner at the end of the day?

I don't wear a ton of make up. I wear a little eyeliner on the bottom and mascara. I always feel like there is still some make up on when I wake up in the morning. How can I do a good job of getting it off without getting the make up remover in my eye? What is a good way to remove mascara and eyeliner at the end of the day?
I use olive oil. It is all natural so if you get it in your eye, it doesn't irritate your eyes.

It is also nourishing for the eye area, and really cheap!

I would recommend using a q-tip in olive oil to remove eyeliner, and a cotton round or tissue to remove mascara.

Hope this helped!

-and you can also use vaseline, petroleum jelly or fragrance free lotion. What is a good way to remove mascara and eyeliner at the end of the day?
Dip the cotton in a waterproof eye make up remover, close your eyes and press the wet cotton for a minute, count from 1 to 60, and then take it off the make up will dissolve effortlessly, but a good quality eye make up remover as well makes all the difference by the way. LANCOME has EFFACIL an eye make up remover, and BI-FACIL is the waterproof eye make up remover, and they are the best that I have used in the industry of eye make up removers.

Hope that helped.

Good Luck.

Good Bye.
here's what i do:

i remove my makeup with a makeup remover wipe (i use MAC ones because they're really moisturizing since they contain glycerin and such, plus they take off even waterproof mascara) first off. i too always feel remnants of mascara and eyeliner after taking off my makeup, so here's the trick: lotion!

you'll need a couple Q-tips and any mild, fragrance-free lotion that is safe for your face. just pump out a little lotion and dip one end of your Q-tip in it, and then just rub along anywhere you feel there is still makeup! it's completely safe. you'll see the results on the Q-tip when youre done!
Cheap, use baby oil...

Make-up remover is the best way, squeeze alittle out onto a cotton pad and away it goes.Lancome makes the best on the market.

Personally i use serious skin care products and the face wash gets everything off, so I usually skip the make-up remover part and i even wear false eyelashes, so this is glue that I'm removing also. But baby oil use to work good.
Well clean %26amp; clear released 3 makeup removing products. It has an eye makeup remover, so that would be gentle enough on eyes, and not loaded with chemicals. But them they have facial cleansing wipes, which can be used for any part of the face including the eyes. Either product is very cheap around $5-$7. Both are gentle too. If you want to specialize in the eye makeup removing process, then the eye makeup remover formula is the way to go, but if you want a faster remedy then the wipes are good, but they do not specialize in eye makeup removing processes.

If you descide on the eye makeup removing formula then to not get it in your eye when using it you should follow this process:

1. wet underneathe your eye area with a facecloth.

2. apply a dap or two of the formula on a q-tip.

3. Scrub underneath water line area with the q-tip to remove eyeliner.

4. Brush lashes and lashline with the q-tip to remove mascara (and bottom lashes too if you use mascara for bottom lashes.)

5. remove completely with water.

But if you descide on the wipes, then just follow this easy process too:

1. wet eye area gently with a little water from a facecloth.

2. use wipe below lashline and on water line.

3. use wipe on lashes and lashline.

4. use facecloth to put finish all removing.

But if you are looking for a home remedy, then try a dap of olive oil or vaseline. (use the same removing process.)

Hope I helped a bit! :D
1. Start off by washing your face. Be gentle on your eyes, but be sure to wash off as much as you can.

2. Wipe the wet excess make-up with a tissue.

3. Either use baby oil or Vaseline (petrolatum jelly) to remove. With baby oil, put some on a tissue or cotton ball and wipe the mascara off. Then rub gently on the bottom to remove the eyeliner.

4. With Vaseline, do the same thing, just use your fingers and then finish with a tissue to wipe away the jelly and make-up.
People always spend loads of money on make up removers, and eye make up removers, when sometimes it truly doesn't even work. So, they blame the mascara/or eyeliner. But it isn't. Make remover rarely works well on all types of make up. But I do suggest one thing, that works with every mascara and eyeliner. Vaseline. Put some vaseline on your lid, take a cotton pad, and swipe it off. It's the best! Plus, it's cheap! It even works on waterproof! Why use all these harmful products and face washes? You could get chemical burns! I know I did, and if you use vaseline, sure it may seem TOO moisturizing, but use a towel and wipe off the excess! It has no fragrence and it won't irratate your eyes.
Just take the makeup remover, put it on a cotton ball and gently wipe your eyeliner off, then go over your whole eye to get the mascara off. You could even put a little bit of lotion on a q-tip and gently remove your eyeliner that way too :) that's how I used to do it. Then wash your face and it'll get any remaining makeup off.
use a cotton round (purchased at cvs/walgreens/whatever) tip the remover with a cotton round on the top, so you'll get a bit on it and avoid getting it completely drenched. close your eyes and put the round on your eye, press down on your lid, but don't rub just yet. let it sit for a little bit. next, do a really big swipe across your eye, and you'll be able to get out most of the makeup. use the other side to get the excess makeup. keeping your eyes closed the whole time. good luck.

oh feel free to use cotton swabs for excess ones at the corner
eww..oil? Mac? who wants to pay 30 bucks for a makeup remover that is just as good as neutrogena's make-up remover? It also moisturizes without leaving residue or an oily feeling on your skin. Its gentle yet effortlessly takes off even waterproof mascara (no need to pull or tug your skin). And, its about 5 bucks at walmart.
You can use olive oil and those cotton pads or makeup remover. It's hard not to get it in your eye considering you're trying to remove the makeup around your eyes, but using q-tips can work for underneath. Then, wash with a facecloth and you should be fine in the morning :)
Easy, don't use makeup remover, insstead substitute it with something less harmful for you eye, olive oil. Virgin olive oil is a wonderful, natural makeup remover and it doesn't hurt your eye.
Petrolium Jelly and a cotton ball.
Cetaphil face wash is great,

first wet your face, then gently rub cetaphil where the makeup is

use tissue/qtip to wipe it off

then rinse off!

it leaves your skin really soft
what i would suggest is to wash ur face and then take some moisturizer and rub it gently over ur face to help with the removal
A wonderfully gentle and cheap remover is extra virgin olive oil. Gets everything off
use makeup remover that doesn't burn your eyes. use cotton balls and close your eyes. if theres still some under your eye use a Q tip. then wash your face with your cleanser. thats what i do.
Use a baby wipe. Or baby lotion on a cotton pad.
use oil.

even if it does get in your eyes its fine!
