How do I stop mascara from clumping?

I've used many different mascaras and always find that they go on too clumpy! I just recently invested in a M.A.C mascara, and it still looks ugly on my eyelashes. Any tips? How do I stop mascara from clumping?
Oh I saw an episode on the Tyra Banks show about it this is what you do

1. Take a tissue

2. Dip the tip of the masscara brush into the tip

3. And twist

Make sure your mascara is very liquid, the really goopy ones don't work and I would use covergirl instead of M.A.CHow do I stop mascara from clumping?
I know what ya mean.. ive tried Lancome.. Dior.. MAC and still i get clumps. I dont have many eyelashes anyways so yeah lol. I dont know maybe u just put too much on?
u can also try false eyelashes. they look great
the only one i've ever found, that doesn't clump is volume exact by cover girl. it was also the cheapest of all the ones i've tried.
right when you pull it out wipe it softly on the end

dont worry ,Babe i had to ask the exact same thing on this exact same site
You need to get HD mascara by bee luscious cosmetics its the only mascara I ever used that no matter what NEVER ever clumped.
invest in a mascara seperater, you can find them next to eyelash curlers in the makeup alies. Also maybe your putting the mascara on wrong? Have you asked MAC makeup workers to show you a good way of putting mascara on

when i use it i take the brush an go left to right first on the end of my lashes. then take it threw my actuall lashes. I never get clumpy,

also are you trying to put ALOT of it on at the same time. If you want alot of mascara, you have to put some on, let dry then try for more. if you try in one setting, it gets clumpy.
Don't put too much on, and there are some little brushes that are for your eye lashes...those help to unclump it.
u have to learn how to put mascara on. it depends on how you apply it, not which mascara you invest in
honestly, do not invest in mac mascaras. i bought one ';on sale'; for 11 dollars (because i made another purchase) it was mac's ZOOM LASH and it ALWAYS clumps! i love to put on AT LEAST 4 coats of mascara. and this one always clumps by the 2nd or 3rd coat! so i dont use it. try BENEFIT's BADGIRL LASH ($28)or HIGH DEFINITION from CLINIQUE($13.50). for the last two years i've been using XXL by LOREAL, and even though i have all these other mascaras of more expensive brands, i ALWAYS come back to this one, because it never clumps even when i put 10 coats on!! i love it. but on occasion i'll put on soem loreal volumous mascara. maybe you'll love it too.... also, if your FAVORITE mascara does clump, use a clean mascara wand sampler (i just take them from mac, or sephora) and brush them a couple times. then use a brush to brush away any clumps that may have fallen on to your face. :o) hope that helps!!
The easiest trick is simple...blot the mascara wand on some facial tissue to take off the excess makeup. Then apply and wait at least one minute between coats putting no more than 2 coats on each eye. It is an absolute don't to reapply once mascara is dry. Throughout the day if it is looking/feeling on the clumpy side use a fine toothed lash comb to brush it out. Voila!
take a paper towel (not a tissue because it gets a all the white stuff on it from the tissue) and put the mascara applicator in it and twist but not to hard because you don't want to break it. then apply it. that should get rid of all the dried up mascara on the aplicator.

also try to find some non-clumping mascara. i suggest great last by maybelline. hope that helped! =)
close the cap thing tightly. and replace it every 3 weeks(or3 months) i forgot ...

How do I prevent black smudges on my eyelid from my mascara and eyeliner?

An hour or so after I apply my makeup I get these horrible black smudges right below my brow bone, on my upper eyelid. I think from my mascara or eyeliner. I hate it because it's so embarrasing and I always have to check! Plus when I wipe the smudges off all my eyeshadow goes with it!

Help please!!!!How do I prevent black smudges on my eyelid from my mascara and eyeliner?
Waterproof mascara will solve your problem. How do I prevent black smudges on my eyelid from my mascara and eyeliner?
buy better quality make-up
use waterproof makeup
Don't use makeup.

It's unneccessary. you look fine without it.

Your just keeping the makeup companies in business.
take a s ponge mop too the stuff and pry it of it always works cool!!
waterproof
try using loreal intense lineur felt tip,, its the best eyeliner and it doesnt smudge,,, as for the mascara try water proff,,l or dont buy cheap ones,, they will always smudge,,
Waterproof mascara. It solves everything.
wear normal mascara and normal eyeshadow but before you apply the eyeshadow put some concealer or foundation on your eyelids so the make up has something to hold on to and make it not so easy to smudge
Use L'oreal makeup. That always works for me!
Have you tried using a waterproof mascara? Also you may want to try using lash extensions to avoid running mascara as well as liquid eyeliner.
Get water proof mascara
RElE i dont no it happens to me a lot !!! iTS LIFE YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT =(
powder %26amp; waterproof mascara
I had that too, i used to use waterproof mascara, ever since i switched to the normal kind, it hasn't happened.
waterproof and smudge proof mascara and eyeliner works for me
hmm

im no expert but its proly a bad brand or something
waterproof mascara
waterprof to get it off use a q-tip with lotion...its magic!
waterproof should keep it from smudging or running. Its from the oils that your face produce daily... it gets to your eyes and smudges your eye makeup, hence waterproof wont allow this. :-)

water proof everyhing, i really like the covergirl brand that queen latifa endorses, the eyeliner comes free with the mascara, good luck.
Be careful when you apply your mascara that you aren't accidentally lightly touching the mascara wand to the area under your brow bone. Sometimes I am putting on mascara and accidentally get it on my brow bone. Also, use waterproof mascara to keep it from smudging. You may want to try putting the eyeshadow on a little thicker also so that you can lightly dab the smudges off without removing all makeup.

  • What is a good mascara that will curl and hold the curl all day long?

I am asian. Yes with my almond shaped eyes, my lashes are long yet they stick straight out. I can curl them fine, but when I try to get the mascara to hold it, all it does is just weight them down and it looks ugly. Can anyone recommend a GOOD mascara that can hold curls all day long and won't flake?

Thank you! What is a good mascara that will curl and hold the curl all day long?
I like Benefit's Bad Gal lash mascara. What is a good mascara that will curl and hold the curl all day long?
Chanel is the best! will last long no clumping or rubing off!
I am also Asian, and I LOVE The Body Shop's Super Volume Mascara. Just wiggle the brush back and forth when applying, and when you get to the tip of your lashes, hold the brush there for a second to hold the curl. You'll love it!
I hear you, I had that problem too. I like Cover Girl's Fantastic Lash in waterproof
This is what yo0u are looking for. You'll love it. It is a bit more than drugstore brands but it works!

put your blowdryer on your eyelash curler so it gets warm. if your sensitive be careful, but it really doesn't hurt. then use any kind of mascara really. it stays pretty much the whole day
I know! There is this great brand new mascara from avon that curls your lashes fine or thick and the brush part, it goes three angles but if you don't want that cuz it's 8 bucks you can buy an eyelash curler and then use maybeline mascara because it's second best!
maybeline volum` express curved brush !

How do you get mascara stains out of face towels?

The mascara isn't waterproof, just your everyday mascara, but I always seem to miss some make-up when I'm washing my face and end up wiping it off on my towels mistakenly. How/what do I use to wash the stains out???

Not all the towels are white, so please don't recommend bleach, thanks! How do you get mascara stains out of face towels?
Try Shout, let sit for about 15 minutes, then wash as usual.

    Hope this was helpful

RWHow do you get mascara stains out of face towels?
pretty much impossible to get out, sorry.i used to have this problem also and no matter what i tried, the mascara would not come out.
Shout. Let them soak, then wash them. If its still there let do it again and let it soak longer, and wash them again. Do not dry it, b/c drying permanently seals the color into the towel.
I use make up remover on these..dab a little on the spot, and rub, and wash normally..I found laundry stain removers don't seem to take it out.
pretreat with color safe bleach, rinse, then wash with color safe bleach, (try vivid), and you might have to do some scrubbing.
Try using Tony Llamas Lash Masque. It's an eyelash dye and doesn't come off like other mascaras.
try shout or products like that. shout has pulled out some big grease stains for me good luck
    Clorox two
    .simply use bleach
when it gets on the towel, use a little soap and warm water and rub it out

What is a good website to get a free eyeliner and mascara sample?

I've been searching for a website where I could order free mascara, eyeliner and other cosmetic samples. What is a good website to get a free eyeliner and mascara sample?
if you want free samples, I really like http://www.sampleaday.com . They are great because they are updated daily and all of their offers are ';catch free';, that means no long surveys, no pay offers. They also have a e-mailing list where they send you the free samples listed on their site. I use that so I get them in my email (but it is not required to view the free samples). Their descriptions are pretty funny too! If you are looking for a specific type of free sample, there is a categories list, and a search bar right above categories so that you can do searches.

    Anyways I hope you enjoy!

Oh yeah if you aren't from the US you might like these sample sites. They are pretty much setup the same way but are special for specific countries

What brand do you think is the all round best mascara?

I've used many kinds of mascara and is still looking for the perfect brand. I've found a few that I like so far, but wanted to also try something new. I know that sometimes the effect of some mascaras don't always have the same effect on another person. But I'd like to hear about your favorite kind or brand of mascara to help me decide which one I should buy. Thanks! What brand do you think is the all round best mascara?
I have two brands I really like. My absolute favorite is Benefit's Bad Gal Lash, but it retails at $19. I also like Great Lash by Maybelline, which is about $3.50, I think. Both are absolutely fantastic. What brand do you think is the all round best mascara?
I have tried so many but i finally found my top pick its

Mary Kay lash lengthening mascara. after years and years i was very surprised with my discovery before MK L/L mascara i really like clinique high impact mascara. You only apply one coat and you don't need to reply. I sometimes used a hot eyelash curler so the can stand out more, i hardly ever use my lash curler anymore since i started using the MK mascara. They run about 12$ but you might be able to get it for less with a consultant. I can send you a free one if you like and no I'm not a MK consultant.
Hypnose from Lancome, it seriously looks like you have some fake lashes on. Although different mascaras work for different people so you should try before you buy because some mascaras (like Lancome and Dior) can get pretty pricey and you don't want to waste your money on something that doesn't work for you.

get a different kind, that doesnt make them clump.
barely put any on the brush and keep dipping it in there and taking most off it off and it most likely wont clump! =]

What age do you think is appropriate to start wearing mascara?

Just wondering. And any other makeup. What age do you think is appropriate to start wearing mascara?
You can start wearing it when your like 13 or 14, or when you get into 7th grade.

Most people at a younger age just wear one coat with a little eyeliner, and some natural looking eyeshadow.

    (:

**Since you are going into 7th grade I would definitely start wearing makeup. When I started 7th most people did.

But I didn't start untill 8th**What age do you think is appropriate to start wearing mascara?
    Eyeshadow- 11 or 12

    Blush- 12 or 13

    Mascara- 12

    Pencil Eyeliner- 12 Liquid- 13 or 14

    Foundation- 13 or 14

    lip gloss- 10

    lipstick- 14

    concealer- 11+
    Mascara usually isn't that noticeable...so I'd say 12 maybe?

    Other Makeup:

    Eyeshadow-13

    Lipgloss-11

    Eyeliner-13

Foundation-13, maybe 12 if your skin is bad and doesn't look smooth.
It really depends on your lifestyle and what parents rules are. I started in the 7th grade. I was a girly girl, many of my friends didn't start wearing any make up until late high-school.
If you like mascara, start wearing it. Age does not matter.

  • How can I get my eyelashes to stay curled without Mascara?

I don't wear mascara because it makes my eyelashes very spider-like and a bit scary looking. I don't generally wear very much makeup anyway as I have very sensitive skin.

Now, I still like to curl my eyelashes- It makes my eyes stand out more, and I don't need mascara when I curl them.

Does anyone have any tricks to keep them curled without mascara?

Thanks! How can I get my eyelashes to stay curled without Mascara?
Heated eye-lash curlers keep them curled longer than regular crimpy ones. They look scary but are totally safe....Good luck! How can I get my eyelashes to stay curled without Mascara?
Like you, I also like to curl my lashes without using regular mascara (in my case, I have sensitive, watery eyes and only use black colored mascara on rare occasions).

My trick to keeping them in place is actually clear mascara, or a product like Ardell's Lash Accelerator (which is also colorless). It keeps my curl all day, even when I accidentally rub my eyes (happens a lot).

My trick is I put the clear mascara on first, letting it dry completely before using the lash curler after. That gives me maximum curl (doing it the other way round always pulls the curve out). Just be careful when you curl, it must be absolutely dry so there's no chance of a lash sticking to your appliance and getting pulled out.

Also, having a great eyelash curler makes all the difference, like the metal ones. I have tried a bunch and they're not all created equal. My favorite ones are Shu Uemura (expensive) and ELF ($1 but really works good!).

    hope that helps! =)
Heat up an eyelash curler with a blow dryer, then curl lashes. Make sure that the eyelash curler isn't burning hot, just heated/warm. This keeps them staying curled.

You can get an excellent eyelash curler for just one dollar at eyeslipsface.com or your local kmart.

    =]
I had the same issue. You should try clear mascara! I bought some from E.L.F. online. It was inexpensive and I love it! Its called ';Wet Gloss Lash %26amp; Brow Clear Mascara.'; It holds the curl without the spider!
use eyelash curlers and then coat lashes with vaseline, has the same affect as mascara and isn'tt harsh on your lashes.
    Eyelash Curlers :)
Just curl them everyday. Pretty much nothing else you could do I guess.
    Keeep on curlin them.

How can I curl my eyelashes without the use of mascara or curlors?

I want to make my straight eyelashes curl. I've tried mascara but found it is too bothersome with all the clumps, and I've tried almost every kind of eyelash curlors, including the heated ones. What other ways can I curl my eyelashes? How can I curl my eyelashes without the use of mascara or curlors?
You can curl your eyelashes using a spoon. just hold it up to your eye and press your eyelashes around the basin of the spoon. this will give them a bit of curve. Or perhaps they are too long. I've heard of trimming them. maybe this would take some of the weight off and help them take to the previously mentioned methods easier. How can I curl my eyelashes without the use of mascara or curlors?
Get a lash perm and a lash tint.
Invest some money on a GOOD eyelash curler and I totally recommend that you get the Shisheido one which is about $16. I have really short, straight eyelashes and this curler is amazing. However, before you use the curler, put it under your blow dryer for 10 seconds and test it on your hands to prevent burning your eyes. This will automatically curl those suckers. As for mascara, try Max Factor Volume Couture. But before this, put on any of the Shisheido mascaras to HOLD that curl and then the Volume Couture. Hope this helps.

I need an amazing one for my wedding day so it has to give gorgeous, dramatic results but obviously must be waterproof in case I can't stop crying. The price is no object either! What is the best thickening, volumising and lengthening waterproof mascara out there?
    maybeline or covergirl

those are the ones me and my cousins use and even when we go swimming it didnt come off! :DWhat is the best thickening, volumising and lengthening waterproof mascara out there?
The popular waterproof mascara for your conditions would be DiorShow Waterproof, but I personally recommend the Volume Clubbing mascara from Bourjois. It thickens, lenthens, and curls, but all in all, it makes your eyes look DRAMATIC. You can GO SWIMMING and your lashes will still be fine- but it comes off perfectly well with a good eye makeup remover. Congrats on your special day!
    I would say Cover Girl!!!

But I will warn you-dont wear water proo mascara alot because it will eventually break your eye lashes..one of the make up artists at Sephora told me that.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SVERs3j_3鈥?/a>What kind of mascara should a 12 year old girl wear?
All brands of masacar are fairly similar. I would get something cheap, since your young and don't need anything that's gonna be volumizing or curling and making you look like your trying to hard and wearing to much. I would recommend maybe trying a lash tint, I believe Neutrogena has a kind and instead of adding ';another layer'; it just darkens the color and makes your eyelashes stand out more but in a natural way. If you do want a real mascara use one with plastic bristles and that doesn't clump since it will be easier to apply. And if you have brown hair use black mascara but if you have blonde or red hair try using brown or black brown for a softer look!
love him, shut up, its only make-up my mom lets me wear foundation, mascara all sorts, And im no different to any other child, at around 10 you feel the need to wear make-up you feel everyones prettier than you, And if you dont you'll be like the odd one out, im only 11.and i choose not to wear lots of make-up, just concealer and lipgloss and sometimes mascara.

anyway: Id go for cover Girl deffo, great mascara, but i wouldnt buy it just yet or else by the time you go back to school, it will be all clump and thick. I'd buy it around a week b4 going back, that way its fresh for the new term :p
your totally not too young. thats the age i started wearing makeup and im 14 now. i use exact eyelights mascara and i have blue eyes. sometimes i use maybelline definealash instead. im thinking of trying loreal paris extra volume collagen mascara once i use those other ones up. Just experiment with different types and youll find one you like. dont worry if you look freaky at frst because looking back on how i used to do my makeup, i must have looked like a weird witch kind of thing. i was so dumb about it that instead of foundation, i used... blush. haha weird right? anyway, have fun with trying to find ur style of makeup and everything! ;)
There are loads of good mascaras out there but my 12 year old sister uses a collection 2000 one. It's amazing, since she has amazingly long lashes. This mascara is also cheap, bonus! I've bought Rimmel London's new mascara, the pink one, and this is very good as well. Hope i've helped.

How long are you supposed to keep mascara primer on for before applying mascara?

i usually use mascara primer everyday before i apply my actual mascara, but ive never really known how long to keep the actual primer on for. are you supposed to keep it on for several minutes so it can dry? or are you supposed to apply mascara right away while the primer is still wet?

thanksHow long are you supposed to keep mascara primer on for before applying mascara?
Let it dry. It only takes about 30 seconds to dry usually. Sometimes if you don't wait for mascara and primer to dry between coats it can make you look like you have fuzzy spider legs for eyelashes. 8]How long are you supposed to keep mascara primer on for before applying mascara?
Just until it dries, which will depend on how much you put on, but it should definitely be dry under 2 minutes鈥搄ust enough time to air dry and apply shadow.
let it dry for at least 14 seconds

  • What's the difference between women's mascara and men's mascara?

I went into H%26amp;M today and saw that they now sell various cosmetics specifically for men (I'm guessing goth ones). They even have a brand of men's mascara for sale. It made me kind of curious. Is there really a difference between ';men's mascara'; and women's mascara? What's the difference between women's mascara and men's mascara?
I doubt there's any real difference. My guess is that men's mascara is more subtle, enhancing one's own lashes just a little. And for blond and redheaded guys it might be a good idea. Meanwhile, most women's mascara makes their eyelashes look very full and pronounced. But it does seem like a shameless marketing ploy, since they do sell women's mascara that is subtle. What's the difference between women's mascara and men's mascara?
i tried the normal macara for woman as i was told it would enhance my lashes as they are very curly although i never went for a colour i used the clear mascara looked a bit like jelly Report Abuse

i didn't no that there was men's mascara!! if u are talking goth guys mascara i think that they just use the same!!
    there's mens mascara!?
    prolly not.. its jus mascara..
ive never heard of mens mascara!
Don't make assumptions about goth guys... and I bet there's no difference they just want to make guys more comfortable with buying cosmetics by saying it's for guys.

What brand of mascara doesn't clump and elongates your lashes?

I've tried colossal by mabelline and lash blast from cover girl and both still clump. Can anyone tell me what the best mascara is that doesn't clump and elongates and accentuates your lashes? What brand of mascara doesn't clump and elongates your lashes?
MaybellenWhat brand of mascara doesn't clump and elongates your lashes?
You'll have to sacrifice one or the other. If you want natural clump-free lashes, you'll have to sacrifice a little length. I like L'Oreal Voluminous specifically the Naturale one in the gold tube. It gives good length and has few clumps. Personally my favorite natural looking mascara at the moment. I also liked Maybelline Full and Soft. There were few clumps and wasn't too heavy. Don't get the double sided mascara, they'll give you volume and length, but they clump A LOT.
I think any maybeline mascara is good, I have almost all of them and yes even though they are expensive they look awesome when used together.

Are Waterproof mascaras only for people who intend to go swimming or are they actually better quality than a non-waterproof formula also it it a lot of harder to remove waterprof mascara? What is the difference between a regular mascara and a waterproof mascara? ?
No, waterproof mascaras aren't only for people who intend to go swimming. I think the difference is that if your face gets wet and you're wearing waterproof, the mascara won't run or anything. But if you're wearing non-waterproof, it'll run and you'll most likely have raccoon eyes. Waterproof is a little harder to wash off, but I don't think its really a big deal. What is the difference between a regular mascara and a waterproof mascara? ?
I use only non-waterproof as well, but I have also used waterproof.

    I've found that I prefer non-waterproof.

The only time I would even use waterproof is if I'm going to a funeral or somewhere where I know I'll be crying a lot. Sometimes when I swim I use waterproof and it works fabulously.

Rain never makes my non-waterproof mascara run. On a normal day, I find waterproof mascara just really crappy to take off. It's definitely harder.

I don't think the quality is better. They're just different.

I've been using TurboBoost 7x (by I think Maybeline), and it gives me way more volume than waterproofs usually give me and it's not like it runs at the drop of a hat. I've cried wearing it and it didn't run.

So, I would say on a normal day, wear normal mascara, even if it rains. If you're gunna be swimming, crying, etc. where you eyes are going to get really really wet, wear the waterproof.
waterproof doesnt run down your face if its raining or as you say going to the swimming pool

(but you shouldnt be wearing make up in a swimming pool you know)

regular just doesnt stay as firm on your eyes as a waterproof would just by the name you can get that waterproof is water proof, but regular isnt.
Waterproof is in the name - it stays on longer than a usual mascara and is intended for people to wear it while in the water. If you wear it on a daily basis though, I can possibly not be very good for your lashes to have no off-time without mascara on them.
Waterproof ones don't ruin down your face when you go swimming or when you cry...at least they are not suppose to-They are harder to get off though.

I prefer non-waterproof ones because they are heavier and are easier to take off.
well one is water proof HONEY! AND IF YOU DONT WHAT WATER PROOF IS THEN YOU HAVE SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOU.. LIKE REALLY, LOL WP IS NOT JUST FOR PEOPLE THAT SWIM IT'S FOR PEOPLE THAT DOSENT WANT THERE MASCARA TO RUN!!!!
What all the other answers said is true. Plus waterproof has more wax in it so if you curl your eyelashes, the curl will stay in much better. I know from experience lol

What is the best priced completely organic brand of mascara out there? Please provide links?

My recommendation would be the Natural Li Lash Mascara

    - Natural eyelash Enhancer and stimulator:

I would suggest using Li lash coz it naturall enhance your eyelash. It makes your eyelash longer, fuller and Curlier.

Just like a Natural Eyelash enhancer, mascara, and does more than that. It naturally makes your eyelash longer.

I think Li lash is so far the best i have used here

Li Lash is so good for me coz:

    - Apply it like a mascara and it will make your eyelash longer, fuller, curlier naturally (no need for annoying or irritating fake extensions), coz they can be a pain to put on a remove.

Why does my mascara keep drying out and getting clumpy in the bottle?

I have purchased several different brands in the past 6 months and with the same results, it works for about 1 week then it starts getting gooey and clumpy and dries up. I have tried running hot water on the bottle itself and that seems to help the clumping but increase the drying out. Anything else I can try? I have already sent an on-line complaint to one Company and they gave me free coupons, however now I feel like I cheated them because obviously it was not just theirs. Why does my mascara keep drying out and getting clumpy in the bottle?
The reason for this is a simple chemical reaction. When you open the mascara container, the air enters in and starts the reaction. Result; mascara dries out. You should try not to ';pump'; the wand in the container, every time you do that, you pump in a lot of air and thous make it dry out faster. Instead try to twirl the wand in the container.

No matter what you do, mascara will eventually dry out. But twirling instead of pumping should help a little.

I'm a professional make-up artist and I love Clinique's Naturally Glossy Mascara. I can use one for about 3 months.

Good luckWhy does my mascara keep drying out and getting clumpy in the bottle?
Don't pump your mascara--excessive exposure to air causes a chemical reaction--which results in clumps-cakey texture. You should store it in a cool--dry area that is climate controlled. Don't carry it in your purse-- by doing that you're not only exposing it to the elements but you are also making it more suspectible to bacteria.
You probably pump your mascara too much. Pumping causes air to go in, making your mascara dry and clumpy.
the first girl was right... when you put the wand in the tube try not to pump it. just slide it in and pull it out. especially if its new it should come out with enough mascara on it.
It is because you are giving it too much air when you pump it don't pump it as much
This happens a lot w/ mascara try cleaning the top of the bottle because thats where it drys out most and buy a mascara that has an air tight bottle. (When you take out the brush it makes a popping noise lol). I have a very good mascara right now, Its a trial size because i bought their foundation which sucked but the mascara is great. The company is Prescriptives, Here to Stay mascara it never clumps (you can get it at macy's)
do you ever just leave the tube out? if u cant solve it, call the company

Is there any mascara that makes my lashes grow or look 10x longer?

I also need eye liner that won't come off when wet.Is there any mascara that makes my lashes grow or look 10x longer?
revlon mascara %26amp; eyeliner is goodIs there any mascara that makes my lashes grow or look 10x longer?
I love Philosophy's mascara. Mind you, it isn't waterproof (at least not the version that I use) but it makes my lashes look longer while continuing to look natural.

I've also heard that SmashBox has a great cream eyeliner that is supposed to be waterproof and smudge proof, but I can't vouch for that one.
I don't think you'd want lashes that were literally 10x longer- that would look ridiculous, and probably obscure your vision. I find Prescriptives 'False Eyelashes' to be a great product; it really thickens and lengthens my lashes dramatically, and with no clumps or yuckiness. At $19.50, it's pricey, but I think it's a worthwhile investment. You could also try applying genuine false eyelashes for an over the top look- check out your drugstore for a selection. As for eyeliner that won't come off when wet, just look for a waterproof version.
The mascara you are looking for can be found at beeroyalproducts.com. This is the home of Bee-Luscious Cosmetics. When you go to their site just look for the BEE LUSHious Mascara. It will define, lengthen and thicken. You won't believe how dramatic the results will be.

  • Is it okay to sleep with eyeliner, eyeshadow and mascara on or should I take it off before I sleep?

I get lazy sometimes, or feel like my eye makeup looks almost too good to remove and want to have it the same way the next day, so sometimes I sleep in it. But I was just wondering if there are any bad side effects, like it getting oily, absorbing into my eyelid or something else. I know the ';panda eyes'; thing and usually I don't have that when I wake up. Anything else I should know?Is it okay to sleep with eyeliner, eyeshadow and mascara on or should I take it off before I sleep?
take it off,, it wrecks your skin:(

    Please;)

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?鈥?/a>Is it okay to sleep with eyeliner, eyeshadow and mascara on or should I take it off before I sleep?
    Never wear makeup to bed!

By cleansing, you'll eliminate dirt and clear your pores, letting skin breathe.

Good cleansing can clear away a good deal of makeup, but we also suggests using a makeup remover especially for the eyes鈥攐ne that conditions the eye area's delicate skin while removing all traces of makeup.

Remove eye makeup carefully. Use a soft sponge, cotton cloth or cotton balls when removing eye makeup to avoid damaging the delicate tissue around your eyes. If you wear heavy, waterproof makeup, you may need to use an oil-based product such as petroleum jelly.
u shud remove it. to let your skin breath, and it will clog up your pores if you continue leaving it on for several hours will asleep. casuing irratiation and dry skin and may form spots..

so its best for you and your skin to remove it.. and continue with clear smooth, moist skin

    good luck
Yes, please remove your makeup before you go to bed at night. A fresh face with fresh makeup is beautiful. A night sleeping on makeup on your pillow w/sweat, drool and God knows what else looks lazy and crackheadish. Fresh = pretty! :)
Omg, yeah please wash your face, makeup will settle into your fine lines around your eyes and you will get wrinkles!!! And wash your face with a scrub like St. Ives Apricot Scrub, it will get rid of all your old dull skin and your face will look better.
ull...get dark circles underneath ur eyes...ull get wrinkles...pimples or acne's...throw ur lazynesss...dont let things to get worse..babe...ull become old very soon if u go to sleep with makeup on...it removes ur skin's moisture and it'll make look dull as days go....good luck
Your skin needs to breath. It needs to be cleaned when you go to bed as well as when you wake up. Also after you've cleaned your eyes dab moisteriser there.
AVOID sleeping with any makeup on whatsoever

It may not effect you now, but it will couple years from now.

No matter what wash and clean your skin before sleeping!
somtimes after a long day of doing somthing i fall asleep with all my makeup on it dosnt really make a difference but somtimes i like being all natural when i go to sleep lol : )
definately take it off. after all it is chemicals you would be pushing into your pores

How long does mascara last if Ive never used it before/often?

I know you are supposed to throw out mascara every three-four months for hygiene reasons, but ive only heard that if your actually using the mascara. If I never use it, ot its been unopened for 3-4 months should I still throw it away? How long does mascara last if Ive never used it before/often?
i would personally throw it out just to be on the safe side but, if u really want to keep it check out the condition of if, if i ts dry and smells funny definately throw it out, but if you feel its still moist and smells fresh you might be able to use it, but i wouldnt keep it for over a month. hope that helped! How long does mascara last if Ive never used it before/often?
Still throw it away. You never know, and better be safe then sorry! It has chemicals in it that help make your eye lashes the color that you want, water proof, smug free...etc... and those chemicals and expire too. Like milk. even if you dont open it, and its past its expiry date, would you drink it? If you would then take that chance. I wouldnt!
    yes you should.

since you wouldn't be opening the mascara,

it'll get moist inside the bottle,

%26amp; moisture causes a different type of bacteria to grow inside the bottle.

    hope this helps!

    -yajaira
i wouldnt throw it out. i dont remember the last time i got new mascara and i dont use mine everyday but i use it often and mines still fine.
It depends on the quality of the mascara.

I personally like li lash mascara eyelash enhancer.

What is the best inexpensive way to remove waterproof mascara?

I've tried baby wipes which are great for regular mascara and some other eye makeup remover solutions, but everything pulls out my eyelashes... HELP!What is the best inexpensive way to remove waterproof mascara?
Cetaphil cleanser or jojoba oil. Saturate a cotton pad (not a cotton ball) and press against your closed eye. Do not rub, just hold it for 1-2 minutes to dissolve the mascara and then use a clean area to gently dab the rest off. What is the best inexpensive way to remove waterproof mascara?
Plain old baby oil on a cotton ball. Works GREAT!
Well, if Avon is available to you, they have a 2 dollar make up remover cream, just rub it on your eyes and it takes it right off.
Baby oil should work! That's what I use since my eyelashes fall easily too...Just soak a little piece of cotton on baby oil and rub it gently on your eyelashes. That should do!
It's not necessary to tug at eye lashes while removing mascara. My mother always and still does just use cold cream with tissues. Personally, I never wear waterproof mascara because of this problem. Regular mascara works fine with me. I have also tried Clinique's eye makeup removal rinse. It works well and doesn't hurt the eyes, but it's probably not cheap for what you were hoping.
The only thing that I have ever used was Vaseline and it works well. Try it.
Baby oil or vaseline(not medicated!) takes it right off. Just use a little on a cotton ball. Cheap too!
i use Almay's Moisturizing Eye Make-up Removing Pads. They work great and do not pull out eyelashes.

You can get them at any Target, Wal Mart, etc.

    Good luck.
You have to try ';Eye Make-Up Remover'; by Mary Kay. It is the best and it is oil free. It takes off my waterproof mascara and I put on alot. Good Luck!
you have to bring some warm water + white honey + some lemon and mix the mixture and rube your mascara out

    and im waiting yr thanks
baby oil works wonders i love using it
ive heard vaseline too is good for removing eye makeup-gently :)

What's the difference between waterproof and smudge proof mascara?

Can washable mascara still be smudge-proof at the same time? If I always have dark rings under my eyes at the end of the day, will waterproof mascara work as well as smudge proof? Please recommend me the best mascara that does not smudge even on extremely hot n humid weather (South East Asia). What's the difference between waterproof and smudge proof mascara?
water proof stays on in water. smudge proof stays on if you rub your eyes. You'd probably want smudge proof unless your planning on getting your face wet. If there is a smudge AND water proof one THAT will be your best choice. %26lt;3dottWhat's the difference between waterproof and smudge proof mascara?
Water proof mascara prevents it from coming off when in contact with water and smudge proof mascara prevents it from being smudged like when you touch it
waterproof doesnt come off in the water at all and hardly comes off w/o makeup remover. smudge proof will come off in the water, but i found that it kinda flakes off instead of getting all smudged around your eyes, it also comes off easier with just soap and water.
waterproof won't come off with just water but might come of if you say cry then rub you eyes really hard or will leave those rings if you just rub yuo eyes, smudge proof won't come off if you rub you eyes but might very well come of if you swim in it! hope i helped clear it up a lil for ya!
smudge kind is the worst if your swimming or rubbing your eyes it sticks onto your eyelashes and is very uncomfortable. waterproof is the best!

    GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!
any of the masacaras on the site i listed but probably you shouldnt rub your eyes during the day and in summer waterproof is the way to go. thx for the 2 points!!!!!
Waterproof wont come off ~ at all! and smudge proof is a gimic to get you to buy it so that once you do buy it, and you find that when you DO cry, its runs everywhere! LoL. Dont bother with smudge proof!!
Waterproof mascara won't run if you cry or swim. Smudge-proof won't run if you wipe your eyes.
I use smudge proof and it is horrible. It really does smudge, water proof is probably way better. If you were planning on buying waterproof, good choice!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What does clear mascara do for your eyelashes?

    1. Do all clear mascara's condition, lengthen, and thciken eyelashes?

    2. Does Covergirl make clear mascara?

    3. Will it naturally thicken my eyelashes or do i have to wear it all the time for the look? What does clear mascara do for your eyelashes?
I don't like clear mascara at all. Your better off using vaseline. Seriously I have never seen one that doesn't flake. It makes your lashes look like they have dandruff lol yuck.

It is however good for shaping brows. :-)What does clear mascara do for your eyelashes?
I use clear mascara to strengthen my lashes and black mascara to thinken them. Clear mascara doesn't thinken lashes but it does make them stronger so when you do apply the black mascara they'll look longer.
ok well my friend had it and it worked on her eyelashes but only black-mascara works on my eyes because i have thick eyelashes
nothing at all. you cannot tell the difference from natural lashes. they stink!

How to prevent mascara from getting in your eyes when washing off?

I'm tried being really really gentle and just taking a cotton thing with water and rubbing (GENTLY) but it always ends up in my eyes! How to prevent mascara from getting in your eyes when washing off?
Buy an eye makeup remover to use before you wash your face (I hope you're not using soap?). The best eye makeup remover (in the world) is Clarin's. Don't panic about the price - you need very little of it and it conditions the skin around your eyes. Put a few drops on a cotton pad (not a cotton ball) and lightly press against your eyes and lashes. - keep it on your eyes for about a minute. This leaves a light film of oil which will come off when you clean your face. Clarins products are made from natural plant extracts so you won't develop an allergy. I use a waterproof mascara and this takes it off - it costs $25 at Macy's (instead of $26 at Dillard's).How to prevent mascara from getting in your eyes when washing off?
    long eyelashes:

Eye makeup remover pads. clean your lashes in a up ward motion. stroke them toward your eyebrows. then gently rinse with water, do not rub.

    Medium:

Use a makeup pad and slowly and gently clean your mascara with a circular motion. rotate direction after a semi rotation. (better to start at bottom, it would help to trace your eye with the pad when rotating).

Short: no solution. sorry. you can try and use facial cleanser and apply a small dab and rinse with water.
Close your eyes when you wash your face.
close your eyes when you wash your face.

    03. use a white/cream eyeshadow to highlight underneath your brows %26amp; the inner corners

    04. tightline (line your upper waterline) with black waterproof liner

    05. curl your eyelashes

i hope this helps! How can I make my eyes look good without mascara?
Ok, so if you can't were mascara, why not eyeliner? Or shadow?

Curl your eye lashes for one thing.

But here's what i would do:

Apply dark brown or black/depending on eye colour to ONLY your upper lid close to the lash like. Not even on the rim of your eyes and wing it out, like abit. Barley though!!

Or eyeshdow, gently sweep some brown shadow all over your lid.
    Eyeliner!
    wear sunglases!!!...salu2
    curl your eyelashes
curl your lashes to make them pop and put some white eyeliner in the corners

volume express turbo boost by maybelline

it really does make your eyelashes thicker, and longer, and does not clump.

its water proof but comes off very easily
Avon. They have several different varieties, and I have good luck with it not clumping. It seperates and defines well and washes off easily.
Christian Dior, Diorshow Mascara $23 at Sephora.
    Benefit Bad Gal Lash

Goes on so smooth and makes your lashes super long.
Estee Lauder Perfectioinst - NEVER clumps!!
Maybeline Full N Soft. affordable and washes off easily. and mine never runs of smudges.
at the moment i have maybeline. its never clumpy except once or twice it has been i also like revlon try one of those twoo
    ESTEE LAUDER MAGNA SCOPiC.
Maybeline, it is so versatile and always looks good!
I love cover girl lash exact mascara (the purple tube). The rubber brush thing is great, lashes don't clump, so I can apply more than one coat without it looking messy! :)
i have to second the diorshow. i've tried a lot of mascaras and this one makes my lashes long and thick without being clumpy. benefit's bad gal lash is good also, and theres always the classic maybeline great lash if you're looking for a cheaper alternative, but dior is worth the money!
I know a perfect one for you. Covergirl Remarkable Mascara. I wear this when I want a more natural look. It lengthens the lashes just right, doesn't smudge and stays on all day. Also it doesn't stick to your lashes and doesn't feel thick when you want to take it off, even though it's waterproof.
well i use double XXL conditioner/mascara combo....i love it
Loreal double extend--makes your lashes extreme!!
L'Oreal's Voluminous mascara - makes luscious thick lashes %26amp; I don't have any problems w/ flaking, etc. My favorite shade is Carbon Black. I use Pond's cold cream to remove my makeup - easy %26amp; moisturizing.
I am legally blind and I have ( excuse my brag here, its my only beauty!!) FANTASTIC eyelashes...long, full and perfectly curled. I used to use mascara all the time, but I hate the way they all seem to make my eyes burn and the remover is even worse. Plus, I can't see out of my right eye at all and never feel 'balanced'. SO I found a great solution last week!!

I went to the local beauty college and while cutting my long hair off to give to Locks of Love ( yeah me, took me 8 years!! ) I also had my eye brows shaped just a little and had my eyelashes DYED!!! its wonderful !! SO stupidly easy, cost me $4 -HALF THE PRICE OF A TUBE OF MASCARA!! and will last me about a month. I can afford to do that each month without any problem, even living on disability.

Yep, it took about 5 minutes to do it and it wasn't uncomfortable or unpleasant, no bad smells or anything. I had a great time and felt OH SO SPECIAL doing it!! I mean, you really feel fantastic while you are doing it, like you are THE BOMB!! And you can always still use a little mascara later if you need a little 'more'. I don't think I need mascara anymore and It feels great!!
Magna Scopic by Estee Lauder. It's the best. I got a lot of friends hooked on it. It's expensive but it's worth it. I was asked the other day whether I had eyelash extensions. It's that good.
Maybeline Full N Soft. Safe with contacts.
Well my eylashes are already really long and sometimes they curve up so I dont really need mascara. I used it to straighten them out and to enhance the color of my eyelashes. I like maybelline or elizabeth arden and revelon.
Covergirl professional in the blue bottle is the BEST I've ever used! It doesn't clump-at all! It definitely isn't sticky! And it stays on all day! It makes my eylashes look long and luxurious! I LOVE IT!! Help spread the word, please, it is the Best!! And not to mention it's a lot cheaper than other expensive brands I've had like from nordstroms, they didn't work well at all!! I'm so thankful that I found the mascara I will be using forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Biack Magic Mascara it gives the illusion of thicker, darker eyelashes.
Maybelline ';Full and Soft'; for reasonable priced mascara

    Lancomes ';L'Extreme';

I guess it is just a matter of ones opinion of what they have had luck with.
I use No 7 Waterproof mascara. Doesn't smudge even when you wear it all day and rub your eyes and washes off really easy with baby wipes.
I've used Loreal Double Extend mascara for about 2 years now and i wouldnt switch. It doesnt smudge, it lasts and if not in waterproof, it comes off easy with eye makeup remover... plus it is not expensive

What is the difference between waterproof and regular mascara?

and they're both the same brand and everything (for instance, great lash mascara in waterproof and regular).

i noe waterproof lasts longer until u remove it with makeup remover, but is the result from waterproof and regular different?

does regular mascara have better results and make ur eyelashes longer, thicker, softer, etc?

and is waterproof mascara really bad for ur eyelashes? cuz i wear it everyday due to watery eyes from contact lenses and i dont want my eyelashes to fall off or anything...

hahah thanks for answering! :]What is the difference between waterproof and regular mascara?
Waterproof is like pretty light and duller than the regular mascaras.

Sorry thats all i can think of lolWhat is the difference between waterproof and regular mascara?
Waterproof means it won't run and smear when you cry. It's very good to wear to funerals. Sorry....but I just did that last week.
Waterproof could survive in water. But regular can't.
you can go swimming with waterproof mascara. lol

but i like the waterproof better i think it just looks better =]
i always used to use waterproof diorshow but then the sales woman at sephora told me to only use it on special occasions (like when swimming, attending a funeral, etc.) because it has properties that break down your eyelashes over time.

  • How can I make my eyelashes darker without mascara?

It's weird. One of my eyes is okay, but the other's eyelashes are very light near the base, almost blonde looking. I try to make it darker with eyeliner and mascara, but it doesn't work and ends up looking like a goopy mess. Help? How can I make my eyelashes darker without mascara?
hmm thats a bit strange now i dont think u should dye them coz u can lose ur eyesight if u do that so dont even think about trying that (not saying that ur ) but i think the mascra u might be applying might not be the best especailly if it looks sloppy that means that it probably clumps and thats never good what i recommend is try buying a maybelline mascra and buy it in the darkest balck they have and then apply one coat on ur darker eyelashes and apply two or more coat on the eyelashes that are light this way ur goving more color to only the light colored eyelashes hope this helpsHow can I make my eyelashes darker without mascara?
Well, this isn't working because mascara isn't meant to be put on the base, just the body and tips of the eyelashes. Eyeliner is meant to be put on the base, so try to get some help from a pro. Unless you figure out how to use hair dye on it...
It might be the kind of mascara u have. I wouldn't recommend using liner. Try the mascara: Covergirl Exact Eye lights, it's really good and it's what i use; and if that doesn't work, try going to a make up specialist.

I don't want my lashes incredibly lengthened or anything, just thick and nice, sort of like the model on Nivea Kiss chapsticks. Shouls I try a clear or colored one?

Also, I've tried Maybelline Lash Blast in both black and brown so please don't suggest that, and also I do not want to use false lashes. Thanks so much! What drugstore mascara is best for not really lengthened all that much, but just lush, thick lashes?
    Hey hun!

I truly love l'oreals voluminous mascara! It works beautifully. I personally love to apply a lot of layers of t to just really give my eyes that beautiful POP!

I have two bottles of the l'oreal voluminous mascara. One is fairly new, and one is fairly old. I usually apply about 10-15 layers (trust me, it's not a lot) of it and then when i've reached my desired look for my eyelashes, I use the old bottle of mascara and wiggle the brush through my eyelashes to give my eyelashes a more separated look (since they look thick) and I truly think you would also love the look!

    so basically, l'oreal voluminous ;)

hope this helps love! What drugstore mascara is best for not really lengthened all that much, but just lush, thick lashes?
the colossal volume mascare by maybelline, definately the best.
Volouminous from l'Oreal made my lashes raelly really thick
Oh the uhm...I think it's called Maybelline Sexy Curves.

How can you make your eyelashes longer without mascara & extensions?

Can you please help i want longer eyelashes without extensions and without buying ';lash longer'; mascara i want them to grow naturally is this even possible? How can you make your eyelashes longer without mascara %26amp; extensions?
    Hey :) ..

I've seen this product that seems 2 work really good , its called Talika Eyelash Lipocils , u can find it in Sephora ..

and u could search on utube for the video : Experiment : Longer, Thicker lashes in 28 Days? .. %26gt; there's a video about a girl tying this product that worked really good %26gt; she has a before and after pictures that might help u ..

    Now for Natural stuff ..

you can use Castor Oil since it's proven that it can make ur lashes longer n thicker , however .. u should be very VERY careful , coz if the oil gets inside ur eye .. it can be irritating , and u'll feel like ur fires r on fire ! ..

OR .. u can use Vaseline , that was proven also the same

P.S : those natural stuff r used at night .. apply like a small amount of castor oil , or vaseline and go 2 bed ))

    hope i helped ..

XxTheStylisHxXHow can you make your eyelashes longer without mascara %26amp; extensions?
    Try using Castor Oil.

Apply it at night and wash your face in the morning.

However, be veryyyyy careful that you apply a tiny amount because it could enter the eyes and can cause irritation.

    Hope this helps! :)

What is the best way to remove waterproof mascara?

I heard baby oil will work, but what exactly is that. Will like neutrogena foam face wash work, or something like that? What is the best way to remove waterproof mascara?
    1. Clinique Rinse Off Eye Makeup Remover

    2. Cetaphil liquid cleanser

    3. plain jojoba oil (non-comedogenic)

Face cream or vitamin E oil will work too. I don't use baby oil because it has fragrance and mineral oil which can clog pores. What is the best way to remove waterproof mascara?
    try lancome eye makeup remover.

it doesnt hurt at all and it works soo well.
most of the time it'll just wear off, like, when i go into the shower, and i forget to wash off my makeup, when i rub my eyes, i could see the ';blackness'; from the mascara, so like I previously said, it'll most likely just wear off, or come off in the shower
i use Netragena Oil Free Eye Make Up Remover.

this gets off every trace of my waterproof mascara.

    --------------------------------------鈥?br>

i also tried baby oil :: but i found that it doesn't take off ALL my mascara.

    hope i helped!
Get a cue tip or cotton ball and put eye makeup remover on on it. Then rub it over your lashes.

What does mascara do to your eyelashes if you use it daily?

They won't get shorter if you remember to take it off before bed. I actually condition my lashes just to make sure they don't dry outWhat does mascara do to your eyelashes if you use it daily?
There are none of good maskaras. If you use lashblast, there is no side effects. Its by covergirl and availible any drug store or walmart.

Wash it off b4 bed! And don't wear it for more then 8 hours.

Condition your lashes if drying out is a problem.:]

You might need a different formula. Not a waterproof one for every day, that's for sure. I'm using Cover Girl Lash Exact every day and having no problems.
Hopefully nothing if you wash them out okay. I wear mascara daily for school and when I wash it off sometimes I get the odd eyelash on my face but they do grow back.
Nothing as long as you wash it off everyday.

But if you dont than they'll probably break or fall out.

  • What is a good makeup look for just mascara and eyeshadow?

Okay, my problem is whenever I wear eyeliner I look gothic or like a raccoon. So, I decided I just want to stick with mascara and eyeshadow. Can someone tell me a good makeup look i can do based on my description.

    Description:

    Ovalish face

    Blue-hazel eyes

    medium- pale skin

    dirty blonde hair

    Can you include pics too?

Thank you so much! Best answer gets 10 points! What is a good makeup look for just mascara and eyeshadow?
mascara and a brownish eyeshadow like this:

or a white sparkly in the corner of your eye:

*minus the eyeliner in this picture*

http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u143/鈥?/a>What is a good makeup look for just mascara and eyeshadow?
well i would wear some earth tones, for a more natural look besides gives an extra expression to blue-hazel eyes, try some orange tone shadows also the problem may not be the eyeliner but how you wear it try to used a brown one and not to do a thick line but a thin fine one.

Also try some coral or pink tones for lipstick and the make-up try one that most looks like your color skin for best results

    Good luck and have fun!!
Try this....natural look but still cute. Reminds me of your description. She has blond hair, ovalish face and this look works for her.

This may be too intense due to your pale skin

    http://www.kissandmakeup.tv/victoria%20b鈥?/a>
you need to use a base for your foundation and an eye base. Try using liquid liner because it makes smaller lines and doesn't smudge as much. You also shouldn't where jet black eye make up. With your looks you need brown or grey eyeliner and more muted shadow colors like lilac purples or dusty greens.

What is the difference between black mascara and brown/black mascara?

I am an asian girl with dark brown eyes and black hair and I wanted to know which color mascara would suit me better. But most importantly, I wanted to know what is the major difference between black mascara and brown/black mascara? Thanks =]What is the difference between black mascara and brown/black mascara?
The only difference is that black has a more intense look. You won't see a drastic difference so if you purchase brown/black it will be fine even if you have very dark black colored hair.

I prefer black mascara because it looks bolder and makes the lashes look more luscious than any other color. Go with the Black. What is the difference between black mascara and brown/black mascara?
    the brown part, DUH
it will go with the kind of hair the individual has
brown/black looks black, but true black mascara looks jet black-more striking. I would choose black to match your features.
If it was on a daily basis for me like school - I wear makeup to school - I would use black but for like a party or soemthing I'd wear a color that matched my outfit like blue or something.
I would go with black mascara to match your hair and eyebrows. Brown goes better with lighter hair . . .
black mascara works better for most people

i'm thinking black would be good for you
I was watching this show on the W Network called shopping bags, and they were testing the different colours of mascara.

They concluded that you can't really tell the difference between black and black/brown mascara when wearing it. I think you should go funky with your mascara and buy blue or green mascara to wear occasionally! It would really bring out your eyes.
The rule of thumb that i was taught is.. match your hair %26amp;eyes.. if you have really dark brown hair and eyes then go black if you have lighter hair and eyes use brown.. it may not always look the best so try both just in case
    the colour!
    different colors?

What is a good waterproof and long lasting mascara?

I need a mascara that lasts for the whole day and doesnt smudge when the weather is hot or when I sweat. I go swimming a lot so I need a mascara that is totally waterproof. Also, My eyelashes are kinda short and thin so I would prefer a mascara that also lengthens and volumizes. What is a good waterproof and long lasting mascara?
Yeah. I second Lashblast by CoverGirl. The Waterproof one. I wear it to Raging Waters in the summer and it works really good and stays on all day. Even if your lashes get wet. What is a good waterproof and long lasting mascara?
    omg, deff lash blast waterproof,:)

the only bad thing is that it is IMPOSIBLE to get off!
I use waterproof LashBlast %26amp; it works real good .
all of lancome mascaras are really good .

a bit more on the expensive side though .

What mascara and eye liner would look good on me?

I have blonde hair, fair skin, and hazel/light brown eyes. What would look good on me? What brands do you suggest? What mascara and eye liner would look good on me?
I would do a dark brown mascara. Actually, Maybelline mascara (pink and green) is about $4, and is one of the best non clump waterproof mascaras out there! And for eyeliner, i would do a rich brown with amber- it would bring out the hazel in your eyes!!What mascara and eye liner would look good on me?
    Black or dark blue eyeliner

Black Mascara with touches of purple at the end.

    Ur gonna look FAB Babes!!!

What is the best way to apply mascara, and what brand do you use?

Also how do you get really thick, dark lashes without a lot of clumping? What is the best way to apply mascara, and what brand do you use?
apply alot of coats of mascara..

when applying move brush from side to side..

it really works :)What is the best way to apply mascara, and what brand do you use?
I suggest Maybelline mascara. Roll your wand from root to tip %26amp; then zig-zag through your lashes. For extra curve, curl your eyelashes with an eyelash curler before applying the mascara.
Lancome is the best brand for me...i use a eyelash curler, so there is a nice curve in them...the first coat i apply on top of the lash it coats them very well, then i just apply a second coat in a normal way (under the lash)
tilt your head back and look down into a mirror. it also might help to put an index card or something behind your lashes so you dont get any on your makeup.

What is the correct way to remove mascara/eyeliner?

I use these cotton wool pads, and some eye makeup remover cream, but the problem is, my eyelashes come out in the process! It's really annoying, I lose probably five strands of eyelashes each day (my eyelashes are very long). What's the best way to remove mascara safely? What is the correct way to remove mascara/eyeliner?
Instead of using a cream try something more liquid based.

I use Clinique, Take the Day Off, it comes in a purple bottle.

And cotton pads are better then cotton balls as well.

But the product that I suggested works very well, and I promise none of your eyelashes will come off.

If you don't want to try that here are some other good suggestions/products that I've used before:

Ponds Clean Sweep Cleansing and Make-Up Remover Towellettes.

These even come in travel packs! Plus, they work very well and you can use them right out of the pack! You don't need to add any water!

This is also probably the cheapest product, you can find it at places like Target and Wal-Mart for as low as $4!

Clinique Naturally Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover

This comes in a small green tube.

This works like a facial cleanser but it's safe to wipe over your eyes.

The great thing about this is that you can use it to get rid of any other make-up you might be wearing.

Just be careful that none of it actually gets in your eyes!

    Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Make-Up Remover

The great thing about this is that it works like the first product I suggested, but it doesn't leave an trace of an oily residue.

It comes in a blue bottle.

    This is also pretty cheap.

    A 5 oz. bottle is about $8.

While the Clinique stuff is pretty pricey.

    But it works pretty well.

So like I said you may want to stay away from creams and things like Vaseline, because although they are effective, they will also easily remove your eyelashes.

    Hope this helps.

And that you'll try some of these products!

:DWhat is the correct way to remove mascara/eyeliner?
Don't use waterproof Mascara and use make up wipes. I use Simple cleansing facial wipes that remove make up, they are really good and Simple products don't harm your skin because they don't use unessecary or harsh chemicals and they also refresh and tone your skin. They remove waterproof mascara too, it's just waterproof is always harder to get off.
First rinse your face w warm water to open your pores the use a bar of makeup removing hypo allergenic bar of soap and scrub your face w your fingertips then rinse w warm water again and then w cold. Dry your face then get a cotton swab lick it and rub under your eyes until the black is gone.
THE BEST WAY: Buy Pond's Cold Cream, and tissue your eye make up off. I will not use anything else. It is so gentle and gets it all off. Once you start using this, you'll never use anything else! Everything else sucks and is too harsh!
well if you want to keep your eyelashes, avoid wearing waterproof mascara, and try not to rub to hard when you are removing your eye makeup. Try natural makeup remover.. that should help :)

    good luck
Personally i think the best way is wipes my favourite are johnsons make-up remover cleansing wipes they are really good and they don't take your eyelashes out

    xx
I wear a ton of waterproof mascara and I take either neutregena or clinique and put it on my hands and gently rub all my make up off.
well if you have really long eyelashes, you don't need mascara so you wont have that problem anymore!!
same ere ive got extra long lashes n half of them fall out wen im taking my mascara of ill see wat other people wrote on this question!
i just use face wipes but still loose eyelashes :(
everyone has their own way, plain old soap and water works dandy for me:)

I totally appreciate smearproof / waterproof mascara with my eyes which can get damp.Nothing like having dark circles under your eyes by the end of the day!

Of the various waterproof ones I've tried my favorite is MAC Zoom Lash. It seems to hold up better than the other others and looks the best too. Nice and thick without needing to be one of those double sided ones.

It does cost more, but seems to last through many more applications than many and is the best I know of.

What mascara is best for getting longer, thicker eyelashes?

My eyelashes on one of my eyes is really short right now. With there being many so many mascaras out there, which one actually gives you longer, thicker eyelashes? I'm looking for ones IN STORES by the way. What mascara is best for getting longer, thicker eyelashes?
You should really try Maybelline's Define A Lash Volume Mascara. It does everything it says. Theres no clumps whatsoever, doesn't smudge, gives you longer, thicker, voluminous lashes and its very affordable also. You can find it at any drugstore such as Walgreens, Rite Aids, etc. Hope that helps! ;]What mascara is best for getting longer, thicker eyelashes?
At MAC (in Macy's) they have this AMAZING mascara that I am totally in love with. It costs $18 but it is totally worth it. The reason it is so amzing is because it has hair in it, I think it is horse hair. So everytime you swipe it on your lashes, you add hair and make them longer. You can keep using it coat after coat and get as long as you want

Unfortunately I can't remember the name, but it is Lash Extend or something like that. Go to the MAC counter and ask them which one has hair in it that is the best for length and they will know.

What I do is buy a cheap mascara for thickness and put it on first, then I put on the MAC mascara for length.
Im asian and i have short, straight, and stubborn lashes. So i use REVLON 3D MASCARA http://www.revlon.com/ProductCatalog/Pro鈥?/a>

You can get this at Target. Out of all the mascaras ive used, this one really works the best with making my eyelashes reallylong and thick!

**TIP--curl lashes first, apply mascara, let dry, curl lashes, apply mascara again, let dry, apply mascara.

Baby oil is gentle enough to use around the eyes. Just dab a bit on a cotton ball or pad and rub gently. It may take a few tries but it will completely remove it all. Also, if you dont have baby oil, any kind of oil will work. Like cooking oil.
    Cleansing oil.
Baby oil ... weird, but it works.
    haha

i use lotion...iunno it works for me and all of my make up.
Okay, I've had your problem! Solution-Almay Make-up Removing Pads! There's a container of like 100 for 4 bucks! It works amazingly well. My waterproof stuff comes off in seconds!

What is a good way to remove mascara and eyeliner at the end of the day?

I don't wear a ton of make up. I wear a little eyeliner on the bottom and mascara. I always feel like there is still some make up on when I wake up in the morning. How can I do a good job of getting it off without getting the make up remover in my eye? What is a good way to remove mascara and eyeliner at the end of the day?
I use olive oil. It is all natural so if you get it in your eye, it doesn't irritate your eyes.

It is also nourishing for the eye area, and really cheap!

I would recommend using a q-tip in olive oil to remove eyeliner, and a cotton round or tissue to remove mascara.

    Hope this helped!

-and you can also use vaseline, petroleum jelly or fragrance free lotion. What is a good way to remove mascara and eyeliner at the end of the day?
Dip the cotton in a waterproof eye make up remover, close your eyes and press the wet cotton for a minute, count from 1 to 60, and then take it off the make up will dissolve effortlessly, but a good quality eye make up remover as well makes all the difference by the way. LANCOME has EFFACIL an eye make up remover, and BI-FACIL is the waterproof eye make up remover, and they are the best that I have used in the industry of eye make up removers.

    Hope that helped.

    Good Luck.

    Good Bye.
    here's what i do:

i remove my makeup with a makeup remover wipe (i use MAC ones because they're really moisturizing since they contain glycerin and such, plus they take off even waterproof mascara) first off. i too always feel remnants of mascara and eyeliner after taking off my makeup, so here's the trick: lotion!

you'll need a couple Q-tips and any mild, fragrance-free lotion that is safe for your face. just pump out a little lotion and dip one end of your Q-tip in it, and then just rub along anywhere you feel there is still makeup! it's completely safe. you'll see the results on the Q-tip when youre done!
    Cheap, use baby oil...

Make-up remover is the best way, squeeze alittle out onto a cotton pad and away it goes.Lancome makes the best on the market.

Personally i use serious skin care products and the face wash gets everything off, so I usually skip the make-up remover part and i even wear false eyelashes, so this is glue that I'm removing also. But baby oil use to work good.
Well clean %26amp; clear released 3 makeup removing products. It has an eye makeup remover, so that would be gentle enough on eyes, and not loaded with chemicals. But them they have facial cleansing wipes, which can be used for any part of the face including the eyes. Either product is very cheap around $5-$7. Both are gentle too. If you want to specialize in the eye makeup removing process, then the eye makeup remover formula is the way to go, but if you want a faster remedy then the wipes are good, but they do not specialize in eye makeup removing processes.

If you descide on the eye makeup removing formula then to not get it in your eye when using it you should follow this process:

    1. wet underneathe your eye area with a facecloth.

    2. apply a dap or two of the formula on a q-tip.

    3. Scrub underneath water line area with the q-tip to remove eyeliner.

    4. Brush lashes and lashline with the q-tip to remove mascara (and bottom lashes too if you use mascara for bottom lashes.)

    5. remove completely with water.

But if you descide on the wipes, then just follow this easy process too:

    1. wet eye area gently with a little water from a facecloth.

    2. use wipe below lashline and on water line.

    3. use wipe on lashes and lashline.

    4. use facecloth to put finish all removing.

But if you are looking for a home remedy, then try a dap of olive oil or vaseline. (use the same removing process.)

    Hope I helped a bit! :D
    1. Start off by washing your face. Be gentle on your eyes, but be sure to wash off as much as you can.

    2. Wipe the wet excess make-up with a tissue.

    3. Either use baby oil or Vaseline (petrolatum jelly) to remove. With baby oil, put some on a tissue or cotton ball and wipe the mascara off. Then rub gently on the bottom to remove the eyeliner.

    4. With Vaseline, do the same thing, just use your fingers and then finish with a tissue to wipe away the jelly and make-up.
People always spend loads of money on make up removers, and eye make up removers, when sometimes it truly doesn't even work. So, they blame the mascara/or eyeliner. But it isn't. Make remover rarely works well on all types of make up. But I do suggest one thing, that works with every mascara and eyeliner. Vaseline. Put some vaseline on your lid, take a cotton pad, and swipe it off. It's the best! Plus, it's cheap! It even works on waterproof! Why use all these harmful products and face washes? You could get chemical burns! I know I did, and if you use vaseline, sure it may seem TOO moisturizing, but use a towel and wipe off the excess! It has no fragrence and it won't irratate your eyes.
Just take the makeup remover, put it on a cotton ball and gently wipe your eyeliner off, then go over your whole eye to get the mascara off. You could even put a little bit of lotion on a q-tip and gently remove your eyeliner that way too :) that's how I used to do it. Then wash your face and it'll get any remaining makeup off.
use a cotton round (purchased at cvs/walgreens/whatever) tip the remover with a cotton round on the top, so you'll get a bit on it and avoid getting it completely drenched. close your eyes and put the round on your eye, press down on your lid, but don't rub just yet. let it sit for a little bit. next, do a really big swipe across your eye, and you'll be able to get out most of the makeup. use the other side to get the excess makeup. keeping your eyes closed the whole time. good luck.

oh feel free to use cotton swabs for excess ones at the corner
eww..oil? Mac? who wants to pay 30 bucks for a makeup remover that is just as good as neutrogena's make-up remover? It also moisturizes without leaving residue or an oily feeling on your skin. Its gentle yet effortlessly takes off even waterproof mascara (no need to pull or tug your skin). And, its about 5 bucks at walmart.
You can use olive oil and those cotton pads or makeup remover. It's hard not to get it in your eye considering you're trying to remove the makeup around your eyes, but using q-tips can work for underneath. Then, wash with a facecloth and you should be fine in the morning :)
Easy, don't use makeup remover, insstead substitute it with something less harmful for you eye, olive oil. Virgin olive oil is a wonderful, natural makeup remover and it doesn't hurt your eye.
Petrolium Jelly and a cotton ball.
    Cetaphil face wash is great,

first wet your face, then gently rub cetaphil where the makeup is

use tissue/qtip to wipe it off

    then rinse off!

it leaves your skin really soft
what i would suggest is to wash ur face and then take some moisturizer and rub it gently over ur face to help with the removal
A wonderfully gentle and cheap remover is extra virgin olive oil. Gets everything off
use makeup remover that doesn't burn your eyes. use cotton balls and close your eyes. if theres still some under your eye use a Q tip. then wash your face with your cleanser. thats what i do.
Use a baby wipe. Or baby lotion on a cotton pad.
    use oil.

even if it does get in your eyes its fine!
